Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is on his two-day-visit to Malaysia, left for Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, seeking help from International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help to minimize cash-strapped Pakistan’s problem.

According to the news reports, foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, finance minister Asad Umer, advisor on commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and information minister Fawad Chaudhry along with Imran Khan went to Malaysia, for the talk in this matter.

According to reports, the foreign office reported in a statement that Khan will address to Malaysian counterpart Mahathis Mohamad and will hold a tete-a-tete (private meeting) between them only, followed by delegation-level talks.

It also stated that as these two countries have brotherly relations reinforced by their culture and strong religious affinities, Khan’s visit “would provide an opportunity to further cement the existing friendly and cordial bilateral relations by enhancing economic, trade and commercial ties, for our mutual benefit”.

Pakistan government is also seeking help, in a structure of “loans”, from their “friendly” countries like China, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia in order to pay back the amount borrowed from IMF.
