Warsaw [Poland], August 29: Indian external affairs minister Dr. S Jaishankar held a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moraweicki in Warsaw on Wednesday and discussed ways to bolster bilateral cooperation that could benefit both the nations.

On arrival, Jaishankar, in a tweet, wrote: “A good meeting on arrival in Warsaw. Thank PM @MorawieckiM for receiving me. Discussed ways in which our mutual cooperation could benefit both countries and contribute to global security.”

Leading up with this, the Indian EAM also held a bilateral meeting with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, during which both the leaders discussed wide-range issues of mutual and regional, according to ANI news reports.

After concluding the meeting with his Russian counterpart, Jaishankar said, “A truly special and privileged strategic partnership. Discussed a wide range of issues in a very warm atmosphere with FM Lavrov. A meeting of minds on important questions of the day. Appreciated full understanding of India’s core interests.”

Lavrov and Jaishankar also reviewed the whole preparation process for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Vladivostok within the coming one week.

Modi will appear as the chief guest at 5th Easter Economic Forum (EEF) scheduled to take place from September 4 to 6 in Vladivostok.
