Standing tall for its missile programme, Iran has condemned the sanctions put by the US and has decided to continue the project with full force. The sanctions put by the US government has put limitations on the missile program of Iran. The sanctions are set to be converted into law once US president Donald Trump signs them.

Speaking on the news, foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said that Iran is not going to surrender to the sanctions by the US government and will continue investing in its missile programme. He further added that Iran considers this option as unacceptable and hostile. According to him, these sanctions will end up having a bigger impact on the nuclear deal which Iran and US share. In his statement, Ghasemi referred to an agreement signed in 2015, which talked about scrapping a number of sanctions put on Tehran.

Further, he added that military and missile are included in the internal issues of Iran and other countries do not have any right to intervene in the same. He also stated that Iran will respond adequately to the sanctions put by the US.

The sanctions bill was passed by US Senate on Thursday. Along with Iran, it also includes Russia and North Korea. Russia has already expressed its disappointment and ordered US diplomats to leave the country. US president Donald Trump is expected to sign the bill sometime soon, turning it into a law.
