Iran’s foreign minister Mohammed Javad Zarif on Thursday, accused “foreign-backed terrorists” for an attack in the Chabahar that led two people killed and left around 40 people injured and wounded outside a police headquarters in the port city of Chabahar in Iran.

In a tweet, Zarif accused foreign-backed terrorists of the attack and wrote: “Foreign-backed terrorists kill & wound innocents in Chabahar. As we’ve made clear in the past, such crimes won’t go unpunished.”

Zarif further tweeted: “In 2010, our security services intercepted & captures extremists en route from UAE. Mark my words: Iran WILL bring terrorists & their masters to justice.”

India condemned the act of terrorist attack in Chabahar port in Iran. Also, the ministry of external affairs said, “Ministry of external affairs said, “We wish a speedy recovery to those injured. The perpetrators behind this dastardly attack should be brought to justice expeditiously. There can be no justification for any act of terror.”

The Chabahar post was always considered as a gateway to golden opportunities for the trade purpose by Afghanistan, Iran and India with other central Asian countries.
