Washington DC, July 23: The United States department of justice has on Monday told ex-special counsel Robert Mueller he should constrain his testimony before the US Congress during this week to examining his public so-called redacted report on the Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

In a letter to the special counsel, associate deputy attorney general Bradley Weinsheimer wrote Mueller’s testimony scheduled for Wednesday “must remain within the boundaries of your public report because matters within the scope of your investigation were covered by executive privilege.”

The letter further stated, “These privileges would include discussion about investigative steps or decisions made during your investigation not otherwise described in the public version of your report,” according to Reuters news reports.

In consecutive hearings before the House of Representatives Judiciary and Intelligence boards of trustees, Democrats are relied upon to attempt to get Mueller to concentrate his declaration on explicit instances of Trump’s unfortunate behavior.

All eyes of America will be on Wednesday trained over Capitol Hill as special counsel Robert Mueller testifies before the two House of Representatives’ panels about his released reports on Russian meddling US 2016 president election, links between Donald Trump election campaign and Moscow, as well as, possible obstruction of justice by the president.

The chairman of the House judiciary panel has on Sunday hinted the stakes when said the 448-page Mueller reports contained “very substantial evidence that the president is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors”, a benchmark for impeaching Trump, according to The Guardians.

Jerrold Nadler, a Democrat from New York, on Sunday told Fox News: “It’s important that we not have a lawless administration and a lawless president. And it’s important that people see what we’re doing and what we’re dealing with.”

A representative for Mueller, Jim Popkin, said nobody at the Justice Department, Congress or the White House would survey Mueller’s announcement before he conveys it on Wednesday.
