Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said on Wednesday, he was totally unaware of Russia’s plan to bring in Russian mercenaries, to evacuate Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro or to take away Venezuelan gold worth $800 million.

Earlier there were rumours alleging Russia that it had sent a mysterious plane to Caracas to bring Venezuelan gold to Moscow or to evacuate Venezuelan president Maduro.

According to Sputnik news reports, Peskov was quoted by the Russian media outlet as saying, “Russia is prepared to help resolve the political situation [in Venezuela] in any way possible, without interfering into the country’s internal affairs.”

While talking to reporters, Peskov has urged them to “be careful with different hoaxes”.

According to Fox News reports, which has earlier reported that a Nordwind Airlines Boeing 777 had allegedly landed Caracas, fleeing from Moscow, which was parked “in a private corner of the airport”. The report alleged that the plane, which was capable of carrying around 400 passengers had only its crew onboard.

The report has cited an unnamed official of Venezuela, who later identified as a former economist in the central bank of the country with ties to bank’s workers. It alleged that about $840 million worth Venezuelan gold has been already prepared for further loading onto the plane.

Several other rumours stated the plane carries mercenaries which were sent to support Maduro, but however, there was no such evidence to support the claim, Fox News report said.

Venezuela’s finance minister Simon Zerpa had denied that a Russian plane has been parked in Caracas at the Simon Bolivar International Airport.
