In a tweet, Maduro on Tuesday said, “Attention Venezuela! We are in Moscow, together with the work team preparing all the details for the meeting with President Vladimir Putin. We do not lose a second in our purpose of expanding the entire map of cooperation with our sister Russia. Overcome!”

Continuing tweeting, Maduro said the visit to Moscow comes to deepen the alliance and bilateral cooperation. The visit contributed to the integral development of people of Russia and Venezuela.

It is to strengthen both nations’ historical and positive ties of respect and exchange among civilians. He said, “A relationship of respect and friendship that we built for 20 years, and that is in the best moment for its consolidation. Long live Venezuela! Long live Russia!”

Putin had received Maduro in Moscow in order to discuss the enhancing of relations between two nations, as well as, addressing issues of regional and international.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said no major agreements are expected to be inked but the meeting will run over the main agenda of “implementation of joint projects”.
