North Korea is all set to ensure its nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities cannot be affected or destroyed by military strikers, the United Nations monitors have said ahead of a summit between the United States’ and North Korea’s officials in order to organize a second denuclearization summit.

According to Reuters news reports, the US special representatives for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, will have a meeting with his N Korean counterpart in Pyongyang on Wednesday, to prepare for the second summit between the US President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un, the US state department has said on Monday. Beigun said that he hoped the summit with new N Korean counterpart Kim Hyok Chol would give a way out “a set of concrete deliverable” for the meeting between Kim and Trump.

Biegun, who held dialogues with South Korean officials on Sunday and Monday, in Seoul, said he would aim at “a roadmap of negotiations and declarations going forward, and a shared understanding of the desired outcomes of our joint efforts”.

S Korean officials said the US and they, both could negotiate that could further expedite N Korean denuclearization – dismantling of the North Korea’s main Yongbyon nuclear complex, that could able the US measures to be reciprocated formally while ending the 1950-53 Korean war.

However, the UN sanctions monitors has, in a confidential report, said that they had “found evidence of a consistent trend on the part of the DPRK to disperse its assembly, storage, and testing locations”.

Though, the N Korean mission to the UN has not immediately responded to the request for comment over the report, which has been submitted to the UN security council member on Friday.

“The country continues to defy Security Council resolutions through a massive increase in illegal ship-to-ship transfers of petroleum products and coal,” the sanctions monitors found. “These violations render the latest U.N. sanctions ineffective.”
