Rising of international pressure to rein in the terrorist organization operating from its soil, Pakistan has on Friday took control over the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarter, the terror organization that has claimed the responsibility of a suicide bombing attack on Indian paramilitary – Pulwama terror attack – that has claimed the lives of about 44 CRPF personnel on February 14 in Jammu and Kashmir.

The move of Islamabad came a day after the UN security council, comprised of 15 nations including China, Pak’s close ally, named JeM terror outfit in a statement and condemn in the “strongest terms” the “heinous and cowardly” terror attack perpetrated by JeM chief Masood Azhar in Pulwama and also stressed on to hold accountable the organizer and financiers of such “reprehensible act” and bring them to justice, according to TOI new reports.

Pakistani information minister Fawad Chaudhry told PTI: “The Pakistan Punjab government has taken over the control of the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur.”

Chaudhry added saying: “The government of Punjab has taken over the control of a campus comprising Madressatul Sabir and Jama-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur … and appointed an administrator to manage its affairs.”

The statement which was also issued by the interior ministry has also said the crackdown over Jaish-e-Mohammed “has been taken in line with the decision of the National Security Committee meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan“.

The 26/11 terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed was yesterday banned by the Pakistani government who led foundations, Jamat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniyat foundation.
