Pakistan has on Saturday launched a strong protest with Iran over inaction against the Omara terror organization, responsible for allegedly offloading a passenger convoy and claiming the lives of 14 people on Thursday, in Omara, Balochistan, on the Makran Coastal Highway.

Citing the letter, Geo News said after the incident, the terrorist who had arrived from the border region, returned to back to that area.

In a letter to Iran’s embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan foreign office (FO) said, “15-20 terrorists who camouflaged themselves in frontier corps (FC) uniform barricaded the road and stopped 3-4 buses traveling from Omara to Gwadar on the coastal highway at Buzi Top in the daw of April 18 and on the identification of the passengers, shot dead 14 personnel belonging to the armed forces of Pakistan. BRAS, which is the alliance of three Baloch terrorist organizations, has claimed responsibility for this terrorist act.”

The letter noted further that Pakistan has “repeatedly shared intelligence about these activities”, according to ANI news reports.

The details over these Baloch terrorist outfits operating from Iran, having their training camps as well as logistics bases across the border, was shared with Tehran’s intelligence in recent times, the letter read.

It added, “Unfortunately, no action has been taken by Iran in this regard, to date.”

The killing of 14 innocent Pakistanis by Iranian based terror outfits is a “very serious incident” that Pakistan protests strongly, the letter added, saying, “Pakistan awaits Iran’s response to its request for action against these groups based in Iran, who locations have been identified by Pakistan a number of times.”

Unidentified assailants has on Thursday stopped a passenger bus on the coastal highway in Omara, forcibly offloaded 14 people picking them with the help of their NICs (National Identify Cards) and shot them dead.

Two passengers, who reportedly managed to escape the incident, fastly reached the nearest check post, Levies, after which the law enforcement personnel reached the incident spot and began a probe into the incident.
