The Pakistani government has authorized its military to “respond decisively and comprehensively to any aggression or misadventure” by India, as tensions between both the countries have escalated since the Pulwama terror attack.

India has vowed a “jaw-breaking response” to the recent suicide bombing attack on India paramilitary that has led to the deaths of about 44 CRPF personnel in India-occupied Kashmir.

According to Al-Jazeera news reports, Islamabad’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced an order in the government statement which was released just after a meeting of Pakistan’s national security committee on Thursday.

The statement said Pak was “not involved in any way, means or form” in the terror attack which it has said was “conceived, planned and executed indigenously”.

In the statement, Pakistan has reiterated its offer of assistance in the investigation of the terror attack and to take strong actions against those who are responsible for using Pakistan’s soil for an attack on India.

Islamabad also offered to hold talks with India overall issues, including terrorism. Earlier, Pak has demanded India to provide proofs and evidence for its claims that Pakistan supports Kashmiri rebel groups.

Following the Pulwama terror attack, India has halted trade and key bus services to the Pakistani controlled part of Kashmir.

News agency AFP on Thursday reported bunkers were being reconstructed and a blackout ordered in Chakothi, a border village in Pak-administered Kashmir.

The local disaster management agency warned residents in Chakothi: “Bunkers should be constructed in areas where they don’t exist. Unnecessary lighting should be avoided after sunset and people should refrain from travelling on roads located close to LoC.”
