New Delhi, Sep 3: Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has on Tuesday said his nation seeks a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue via bilateral negotiations with India.

According to Dunya News reports, Qureshi also said the nation’s foreign policy was ready in accordance with the external and internal issues. He further asserted Islamabad has made its position in the world with effective foreign policy.

The foreign minister also stated: “We can successfully deal with the regional challenges by resolving the Kashmir issue.”

India on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan for its “false” and “irresponsible” statements over Jammu and Kashmir, which New Delhi claimed is its own “internal matter”.

In a stern warning to Pakistan, India’s defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday stated Kashmir was only of India as it has been and will remain so.

“We strongly condemn the recent statements by Pakistani leadership on matters internal to India. These are very irresponsible statements,” said MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, according to Hindustan Times.

Reacting to Pakistan minister Shireen Mazari’s letter to the United Nations, Kumar said it did not worth even the paper over which it was written, adding, “We don’t want to give credence to it by reacting.”

Kumar also said India was already aware of Pakistan’s usage of terror as its state policy, demanding Islamabad much act against the terror outfits operating from its soil.
