Karachi, Sep 26: Turkey, Malaysia, and Pakistan have consented to battle together against the rising worldwide trend of “Islamophobia”, principally in the West.
The comprehension was reached at a trilateral gathering held on Wednesday on the margins of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) summit ongoing in New York, Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office said in an official announcement.
The gathering was attended by Pakistani Premier Imran Khan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
The three chiefs talked about approaches to improve cooperation in an expansive scope of territories, the announcement stated, including Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia will trade views on provincial and worldwide advancements and trends, according to Anadolu Agency news reports.
“President Erdogan, Prime Minister Mahathir and myself held a meeting today in which we decided our three countries will jointly start an English language TV channel dedicated to confronting challenges posed by Islamophobia and setting the record straight on our great religion – Islam,” Khan said in a series of tweets.
