Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif on Friday was forced to step down from the post by the Supreme court of India. With the resignation of Sharif, the list reaches to a total of 26 Prime Ministers that Pakistan has witnessed but none of them able to complete the full term.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was charged with benami property and money laundering. He and his daughter Marium were accused of having properties worth billions of rupees in London. This case was revealed in Panama Papers last year. The Supre court of Pakistan today considered Nawaz Sharif guilty and asked him to withdraw from the post of Prime Minister immediately.

After the court’s decision, there has been a big turn once again in Pakistan’s politics. Many speculations are being him, the country’s defense minister Khwaja Asif may also be the candidate for the post.
