New York, Sep 30: Pakistan, exercising its first right to respond to India’s reply to Pakistan Prime Imran Khan’s UN speech focused on Kashmir Issue, accused India of denuding secularism, avoiding India’s questions about Islamabad’s terror connections.

However, second Secretary in Pakistan’s UN Mission, Muhammad Zulqarnain, failed to respond at the exact time on Saturday to questions put forth by India, when New Delhi exercised its rights to reply to Khan’s speech centred on Kashmir issue.

India slammed Khan’s threat of nuclear war, with Vidisha Maitra, India’s First Secretary MEA, stating it “qualifies as brinkmanship, not statesmanship”.

Zulqarnain questioned New Delhi’s secular credentials, saying India’s “singular achievement has been to denude India of any pretense to its so-called secular credentials”.

Zulqarnain targeted India’s BJP and RSS party in order to avoid substantial points put forth by India in its right to respond to Khan’s Hate Speech that threatened nuclear war between two neighbours over the Kashmir issue.

He resisted answering to the challenged from Maitra who asked Pakistan’s stance on the open defence of terrorist Osama bin Laden, the founder of Al-Qaeda, as well as, questions over the fact Islamabad does not provide safe haven to 130 UN-labelled global terrorists and 25 other terror entities globally subjected the UN council.

India has asked: “Will Pakistan deny that the Financial Action Task Force has put the country on notice for its violations of more than 20 of the 27 key parameters? And would Prime Minister Khan deny to the city of New York that he was an open defender of Osama bin Laden?”

Maitra has said termed Khan’s speech as a “Hate Speech” and said his speech described Pakistan as the world’s “heartless” portrayal in binary terms. “Us vs Them; Rich vs Poor;North vs South; Developed Vs Developing; Muslims vs Others.”
