Islamabad, August 29: Pakistan has on Thursday successfully conducted the night-training launch of surface-to-surface ballistic missile ‘Ghaznavi’, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) director-general Major Gen Asif Ghafoor said on Thursday.
General Ghafoor, in a tweet, said the tested missiles was “capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to 290 kilometres” with a video of the night launch conduct, according to Dawn.

According to the ISPR, Pakistan President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan “conveyed appreciation to the team and congratulations to the nation” for this successful conduct of the surface-to-surface missile.
The missile was capable of defeating “any currently available BMD [Ballistic Missile Defence] system in our neighbourhood or any other system under procurement [or] development”, by assured penetration, the Pakistani military’s media wing had stated.
