Moscow, Sep 20: Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on the pioneers of every African nation to attend a noteworthy Russia-Africa summit, as indicated by the Kremlin on Thursday.

The occasion is planned to be held in the beachfront hotel city of Sochi on October 24 under co-administration of Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who likewise heads the African Union, the Kremlin said in an official announcement.

“This is the first event of this level in the history of Russian-African relations, with the heads of all states of the African continent invited, as well as leaders of major sub-regional associations and organizations”, the statement said.

It said the gathering’s motivation is to grow Russian-African participation in various regions – including political, monetary, specialized and social, according to Anadolu Agency news reports.
