Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov has on Thursday said Moscow would be, in the future, prepared to consider new Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty deal from the United States in order to replace a terminated Cold War-era nuclear treaty with the border pact that would include more nations.

According to Reuters news reports, at the weekend, Russia suspended the INF Treaty with the US after Washington announced that it would be withdrawing from the pact in nearly six months unless Moscow ends what it called violations of the treaty. Though, Russia denied all the accusations.

Last week, the US president has said he would like to hold dialogues aimed at organizing a new nuclear control treaty that might include India, though the US President Donald Trump did not specifically expose the names of the countries.

Ryabkov said, “We, of course, saw the reference in president Trump’s statement to the possibility of a new treaty that could be signed in a beautiful room and that this treaty should also include other countries as its participants.”

At a news conference in Moscow, the Russian minister said, “We look forward to this proposal being made concrete and put on paper or by other means.” He further added saying the US had also not sent Russia any of the concrete proposals for a new treaty.
