Russia has said on Tuesday it was fully set to back Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and its nation facing a political crisis and to facilitate dialogues between Maduro and his opposition Juan Guaido who declared himself as the interim president of Venezuela, but further warned the United States not to intervene in internal affairs of Caracas.

According to Reuters news reports, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov was quoted by Tass news agency as saying: “We have been maintaining very important contacts with the government of this country and stand ready to provide a kind service in order to facilitate the process of finding ways out of the situation.”

Ryabkov has also said Moscow had also proposed some proposals to Venezuela over settling its political and humanitarian crisis but did not offer any further details over the proposal. Russia has yet invested billions of dollar into economic and oil production of Venezuela.

The opposition supporters has on Tuesday returned to the streets nationwide protesting to keep up pressure on Maduro to step down from his position of presidency and also announced that first humanitarian aid has entered into Venezuela, where the citizens are facing shortage of food and medicine.

In a telephonic coversation on Tuesday’s evening, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov told the US secretary of state Mike Pompeo that Washington must stay away from intervening in Venezuelan internatl affairs, including its American military.

Lavrov also claimed that Moscow was ready to support and consultaions on situation in Venezuela in line with the United Nations charter.

Diplomats has said on Saturday the US was formally pushing the security council to call for free and fair, and credible presidential election in Venezuela, at the UN, with the international observers, a move which has prompted Moscow to present a draft resolution opposing the US.

Russinn U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia described the U.S. draft resolution on Tuesday as “completely unbalanced.” When asked if he would put the Russian draft resolution to a vote, he said: “We’re just discussing it.”
