Russia has on Friday said the redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe report has offered no shreds of evidence that Moscow meddled the 2016 United States presidential election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov was quoted by TASS news agency as saying, “The report contains no proven evidence that Russia allegedly interfered in the election process in the United States,” adding, “As before, we do not accept such charges.”

According to ANI news reports, she also alleged that Mueller’s 1st copy of the probe report “does contain nothing new”. She stated that all information had been published by different sources and mass media earlier.”

Peskov claimed such kind of alleged reports and probe could influence relations between Russia and the United States, adding, it could jeopardize bilateral cooperation.

Russian remarks have arrived after the release of Mueller’s first copy of probe report, on Thursday, over Russian meddling into 2016 US President Donald Trump’s election campaign.

The US department of justice has, on Thursday, released the redacted version of the special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe reports. Though, Mueller didn’t conclude that the US president had committed any obstruction of justice, but also didn’t exonerate him either.

The report is consist of Mueller’s finding from the 22-month long probe into alleged Russia meddling into the 2016 US presidential election, which has seen US President and ex-businessman Trump rising to power.

The investigation was unable to clear Trump in the issue, claiming the president’s move and intent “present difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred”.

The released report indicated that Trump tries to seize control and influence Mueller’s investigation, also there were not sufficient shreds of evidence for criminal charges against Trump, and that Trump order to oust to Mueller from the office.
