The US Senate has passed an amendment opposing the United States President Donald Trump’s plans to quickly withdraw its American troops’ forces from the two war-torn regions – Syria and Afghanistan – by a huge bipartisan majority.

According to news reported by Sputnik news reports, the US Senate has passed the amendment on Monday by 70 to 26 votes. The passed amendment was a non-binding but also reflected the widespread support among the Democrats and also Republicans in the Senate.

The amendment was expected to be included in the US-Mexico border wall bill funding continued the US support for Israel, Jordan and the Syrian opposition groups that the US House of Representatives was expected to hold up later this week.
