Donald Trump launches bid for 2020 US presidential election in Orlando

Florida, June 19: United States President Donald Trump has on Tuesday announced his bid to run for a second term in the 2020 presidential election during a rally in Orlando.

According to ANI news reports, He told the crowd: “Exactly 4 years ago this week, I announced my campaign for President of the United States … it turned out to be a great political movement because of you …”

The US president was further quoted by CNN as saying, “Nobody has done what we have done in two and a haldf years … Our future has never ever looked brighter or sharpers.”

Trump was accompanied by Melania Trump, the First Lady and wife of Trump. US vice president Mike Pence, along with his wife has also attended the massive rally on Tuesday when Trump announced his 2020 presidential election bid.

He kicked off his speech by taking a strong dig at the media, saying, “You know, if we have three or four empty seats, the fake news will say headlines he didn’t fill the arena.”

Announcing his run bid, the US president told the gathering, “The American dream is back. It is bigger, better and stronger than ever before.”

First Lady was quoted by CNN as telling the gathering, “He truly loves this country and will continue to work on your behalf for as long as he can. All of us will.”

During the massive rally, Trump blasted on Democrats in his speech as saying, “Our radical Democrat opponents are driven by hatred prejudice and rage. They want to destroy you and they want to destroy our country as we know it. Not acceptable. It’s not going to happen.”

Ahead of Trump’s presidential bid declaration, VP Pence set off stage saying, “Re-elect Donald Trump and we will keep America great!”
