United States President Donald Trump has on Thursday said Washington has inked a “new and very, very large” trade agreement with South Korea.

According to ANI news reports, the US president, flanked by Moon Jae-in, South Korean president and first ladies of both the nations, said, “We have recently completed a new and very, very large trade deal with South Korea and it will very much increase trade both ways.”

Trump further added, “It is a very important transaction and is something we have been working on from quite a while … Big difference.”

Trump has made these comments after hold a meeting with his South Korean counterpart, Moon, who is on a two-day state visit to Washington DC.

Moon has arrived in Washington DC on Wednesday in order to discuss the second summit between the US and North Korea in Vietnam, which was ended abruptly without reaching any nuclear agreement.

Moon-Trump meeting will mark the first face-to-face meeting between both the leaders after the Hanoi summit failure between Kim and Trump.

Trump, during the meeting, has asserted that he wanted to continue to keep sanctions imposed over North Korea while he continues working on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and keeping the nuclear talks on track with Kim and draw out a nuclear deal to put an end to the six-decade-long Korean war.
