Washington DC, July 17: The United States isn’t pushing to topple Iran’s administration, President Donald Trump stated, including “a ton of progress” has been made to ease strains that as of late threatened to ignite a war.

His remarks on Tuesday came after Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised to keep reducing its compliances under the milestone 2015 international nuclear deal relinquished by the US a year ago, according to Al-Jazeera news reports.

Trump reacted that Washington is resolved to prevent Iran from gaining atomic weapons.

“We are not looking for regime change. We are not looking for that at all,” the US president said. “We’ll see what happens. But a lot of progress has been made.”

But he added: “They can’t have a nuclear weapon. They can’t be testing ballistic missiles.”

Trump did not expound on the “progress” made, however, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated at a similar bureau meeting that Iran had said it was set up to consult over its rocket program.

Pompeo told the gathering Tehran had “for the first time” flagged it would talk about the rockets, proposing this was the aftereffect of US monetary weight.

In any case, that dispute was immediately discredited by Iran’s delegate to the United Nations. “Iran’s missiles … are absolutely and under no condition negotiable with anyone or any country, period.”

Trump withdrew the US out of the historic accord with world forces went for checking Iran’s atomic program a year ago, hitting Tehran with devastating authorizations that it calls “economic terrorism”.

Iran said a week ago it enhanced uranium past the 3.67 percent point of confinement set by the 2015 INF Treaty, and outperformed the 300-kg limit on advanced uranium holds.

Strains have taken off since Trump surrendered the understanding, with the US canceling air assaults against Iran, at last, a month ago after Tehran shot down a US ramble.
