Washington DC, June 3: United States President Donald Trump has slammed Iran, Syria, and Russia on Sunday for “killing many innocent civilians” by bombing the “hell out” of Idlib province of Syria.

In a tweet on Sunday, the US president wrote: “Hearing word that Russia, Syria and, to a lesser extent, Iran, are bombing the hell out of Idlib Province in Syria, and indiscriminately killing many innocent civilians. The World is watching this butchery. What is the purpose, what will it get you? STOP!”

On Friday, Russia stated it was Turkey’s responsibility to make Syrian Idlib region’s rebels stop firing on Russian targets and civilians. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has long-complained to Russia about Moscow-backed Syrian government strikes against the rebels who control the nation’s northwest, according to ANI news reports.

Since last summer, the offensive in the Idlib region is the largest escalation of a battle between Syrian President Bashar al-Assad government and its opposition rebel, and has raised humanitarian crisis fears as many Syrians have been yet displaced due to fightings seeking shelter at the Turkish border.

According to the United Nations (UN) reports, more than 200,000 people have fled the violence in the region since the strikes started at the end of April.
