However, the US president did not describe the details of his meeting with Twitter CEO Dorsey.

In an official statement, Twitter stated Dorsey has held “constructive meeting with the president of the United States today at the president’s invitation”, adding during which they discussed “Twitter’s commitment to protecting the health of the public conversation ahead of the 2020 U.S. elections and efforts underway to respond to the opioid crisis”, according to Sputnik news reports.

Trump has earlier on Tuesday suggested that Twitter has been biased against him with having no evidence. Also, he wrote on his official Twitter account the company, Twitter, doesn’t “treat me well as a Republican”.

Social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter have been constantly pressured by Trump government to crackdown over international actors who carry out negative influence campaigns.

Moreover, both the companies have banned several accounts, groups and pages, but however, have been consistently condemned by outfits for censoring its users.
