Tunis, July 6: The Tunisian government has on Friday imposed ban over wearing a niqab (full face cover) with the immediate effect in public institution, following two suicide bombing attacks in the nation’s capital, Tunis.

According to ANI news reports, Prime Minister Youssef Chahed signed the order which prohibits both visitors (civilian) and staffs from wearing a niqab that covers the full face except eyes.

As per the CNN news reports, there had been several reports the terrorists in the nation had been making use of niqab in order to disguise themselves.

Last week, Tunisia was jolted by two different suicide bombing attacks that blew themselves in two different incidents in the capital Tunis, which claimed the life of a cop with several injured.

Moreover, the Islamic States of the Levant and Iraq (ISIS and ISIL) had claimed the responsibility for the two terror attack in the nation’s capital.

Since 2011, Tunisia has been combating against armed terror organizations operating from the border along with Algeria, following a turmoil that overthrew an autocratic leader, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Since the succession of terror attacks that jolted the North American country, the Tunisian government imposed a state of emergency. which has been effect since 2015.
