The United Kingdom parliament’s lower house will hold a vote session on British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit agreement on Tuesday.

According to Sputnik news reports, prime minister May is expected to present her Brexit deal to the parliament on Tuesday for a second referendum over its approval from the parliament.

If Brexit deal not passed through parliament on Tuesday, then a vote over no-deal Brexit is expected on Wednesday. If it again gets rejected as well, then a vote over extending the Article 50 period will take place on Thursday. After that, May was expected to re-negotiate the Brexit deal with the European Union.

May and European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker has on Monday announced they had agreed over the unchanged nature of Brexit, supplemented by two documents – one to guarantee the EU will not make use of the so-called “Irish backstop” as a “trap” for Britain and allow London to withdraw from the customs union – second set up a framework to replace the “Irish backstop” with another solution by December 2020.

The backstop plan will keep the UK in the customs union with the EU, keeping Northern Ireland in the EU’s single market for goods.

The EU, represented by Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, has confirmed that the EU had agreed to the “legally binding interpretation” of the withdrawal agreement, including an option for the UK to leave the customs union unilaterally.

During a joint press conference with May, Juncker called on British lawmakers and the European Council to endorse the well-negotiated documents, asking the parties to “bring the UK’s withdrawal to an orderly end”.

European Parliament head Antonio Tajani has also expressed hope that the UK parliament would on Tuesday endorse the withdrawal agreement reached by Brussels and London in wake of new documents over the Irish border.
