Due to the blizzard condition occurred in the United States, more than 1,240 flights were cancelled leading many travelers to United States struck at airports on the event of Thanksgiving weekend.

According to weather official’s reports, the blizzard carried across to the Midwest. The warnings were issued that it will stretch across northeast Kansans to Chicago, with heavy snowfall in some parts of regions including central Missouri, southeast Nebraska, Kansan and Southern lowa.

The storm has brought winds from 30 to 35 miles per hour, with strong wind of up to 45 to 50 miles per hour. Expected snowfall is to be of 6 to 12 inches across the region named above.

National Weather Service meteorologist Bob Oravec said the blizzard condition Kansan and Chicago will face the “high impact” of the blizzard condition on Sunday.

According to FlightAware.com, the flights more than 1,240, which were headed to United States and were withdrawing from the US were canceled due to the high blizzard condition, by Sunday.

Most of the canceled flights were either departing from or arriving at Chicago Midway Airport and O’hare International Airport. They both combines over 900 flights, which were canceled till Sunday. About more than 200 flights were canceled at Kansan City International Airport due to the blizzard condition of the weather.
