The United States has on November 20, issues a release imposing sanctions on an international network through which Syria was provided with millions of barrels of oil to Bashar al-Assad regime from Iran and Russia in exchange of transfer of hundreds of millions of dollars to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force and also the resources related to terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hizballah.

The issued release from the US state department also mentioned that they are strongly targeting and imposing sanctions on Irani’s exploiting international financial system through which they used to hide its revenue through which they use to fund terrorist resource and activities, which helps in increasing problems for Middle East region civilians and also in destabilizing the region too.

These sanctions, including diplomatic, economic and proxy terrorist group, are the US government’s long-term campaigned focused to counter the Iranian regime’s activity and influences and to secure Syria from Iranian forces, and also to cease the funds to be bankrolled by Iran.

In a statement, US department wrote: “They are also a part of the United States’ efforts to bear the necessary pressure on the Syrian regime that would enable a political resolution of the Syrian conflict. Disrupting the illicit network that we have designated today is a crucial element of a broader effort to disrupt the material ties between the Assad regime and its IRGC patrons. This effort will continue in the months to come.”

The statement further stated: “We are committed to imposing a financial toll on the Iranian regime, Russia, and others who prop up the Assad regime and enable its abuses, as well as to disrupt the Iranian regime’s funding of terrorist organizations. The United States will use every available tool to combat the Iranian regime’s destabilizing and destructive influence in Syria and throughout the region.”
