The United States is planning to withdraw its troops from Syria fully and rapidly, US official said, on Wednesday, fulfilling US President’s stated goal of withdrawing its American troops from out of those areas where he could not expect any benefits with such commitments.

In a tweet, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday morning, wrote: “We have defeated Islamic State in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.”

According to news reports, the US official said that the plan of withdrawing the US troops from Syria has been finalized on Tuesday. It said, “Full withdrawal, all means all.”

Though, right now, no timeline has been provided yet. The comment by Trump was followed by official who declared their plans are underway to withdraw 2000 or so of US troops.

The official said, “We will ensure force protection is adequately maintained, but as quickly as possible”

Pentagon spokesperson Colonel Rob Manning said, “At this time, we continue to work by, with and through our partners in the region.”

Last week, a US-led coalition has denied to any pull out and said, “Any reports indicating a change in the US position with respect … is false and designed to sow confusion and chaos.”

However, Trump has overruled his US military, and according to few experts, it has given comfort to RussiaIran-Syria coalition, who will watch this as victory even as Washington’s Kurdish allies will see it as betrayal.

The White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders said, “We have started returning United States troops home as we transition to the next phase of this campaign.”

Sanders further said, “The United States and our allies stand ready to re-engage at all levels to defend American interests whenever necessary, and we will continue to work together to deny radical Islamist terrorists territory, funding, support, and any means of infiltrating our borders.”
