US President Donald Trump

The United States President Donald Trump has on Thursday, launched a scathing attack at the “Fake News Media”, via Twitter, which allegedly reported that not much has happened during Trump’s first meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un on the sidelines of the G7 summit held in Singapore last year.

According to news reports, the US president said Washington has been very much successful in bringing back the remains of Americans who had lost their lives during the Korean War while fighting around 40 years ago.

Trump further said the US has been also able to terminate the launch of nuclear missiles from North Korean missiles which had the possibilities of entering the Japanese airspace.

Trump took the criticism to Twitter and wrote: “The Fake News Media loves saying ‘so little happened at my first summit with Kim Jong-Un.’ Wrong! After 40 years of doing nothing with North Korea but being taken to the cleaners, & with a major war ready to start, in a short 15 months, relationships built, hostages & remains …”

He further added: “…back home where they belong, no more Rockets or M’s being fired over Japan or anywhere else and, most importantly, no Nuclear Testing. This is more than has ever been accomplished with North Korea, and the Fake News knows it. I expect another good meeting soon, much potential!”

The remarks from the president come amid reports of Trump-Kim expected the second summit next month in Vietnam.

The North Korean leaders reiterated that his government is committed to fulfill the promises of achieving denuclearization in the Korean peninsula.
