New Delhi, June 21: The International Yoga Day celebration was held in most of the countries across the globe. All world leaders joined Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this occasion to celebrate, spread awareness regarding benefits obtained through daily yoga practices and awareness regarding spreading peace worldwide.

Ambassador of India to Nepal also tweeted International Yoga Day celebration held in Nepal. He wrote, “Celebrating IDY in Nepal Rt Hon K P Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal leads the IDY celebrations in Kathmandu @narendramodi @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia @IndiaInNepal.”

Moreover, PM Modi tweeted the ambassador’s tweet and expressed happiness with Nepal Prime Minister Oil’s “remarkable gesture” leading the Yoga Day celebration in Nepal.


 

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena also tweeted: “I compliment my friend @narendramodi for his efforts at bringing our common heritage of Yoga to the international stage. I urge all to practice yoga like me.”

PM Modi retweeted Sirisena’s tweet and thanked him for supporting in making the Yoga day more popular.


International Yoga Day celebration was also held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Myanmar sent a message of “Peace Peace Peace” on June 21 on the occasion of International Yoga Day celebration.


 

Singapore also went on say celebration continues in the nation at HDB estates Singapore campus, PGP Hall 70+sessions, 50+venues so far Hon Minister at one of the Yoga sessions along with 130+venues200+Sessions till 25 June.


 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has on Friday also said, “Together all practiced yoga and essence of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam was deeply felt.”


 

Bangladesh also celebrated the International Yoga Day in the capital Dhaka with around 7000 yoga enthusiasts. Foreign Minister, H.E. Md. Nurul Islam Sujon, Railways Minister & H.E. Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Minister of State for Shipping participated.


 

Thousands of people summoned in India House in Beijing, the Chinese capital, to celebrate the International Yoga Day. Yogis from all over Beijing came together to celebrate the #Yoga way of life.


 

International Yoga Day was also celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm at the Embassy In Afghanistan today morning. The celebrations were attended by members of the diplomatic community in Kabul including representatives from Sri Lanka.


 

The Yoga day was also celebrated in Bhutan at the of the Punatsangchhu Hydroelectric Power Project.

Embassy and LBS Cultural Centre celebrated the 5th International Yoga day in Uzbekistan, spreading the message of unison of Mind, body, souls and Universe in the nation.


 

The Indian army celebrated the 5th International Day of Yoga at the border with Myanmar, committing for having fit and healthy India.
