Days after officially declining AAP‘s Offer to forge an alliance in National Capital, Congress is now rethinking and exploring possibilities to go with Kejriwal-led party confirmed INC State In-Charge PC Chacko.

Speaking to news Agency ANI, Delhi In-Charge said that his party in Delhi is discussing the possibility of a pre-poll tie-up. He added that party President Rahul Gandhi will take a decision soon.

Reportedly, Congress Leaders in Delhi has written a letter to Congress President asking him to take a call on the alliance. Chacko, as quoted by ANI, said, ‘As far as I know there are senior leaders in Delhi who think that defeating BJP is party’s immediate responsibility; for it we should form the alliance with AAP, that’s the thinking of the majority of leaders’

He added that final call will be taken by Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He added that our Party nationally decided to go with an alliance with the Party whosoever is capable of defeating BJP.

He further added that Congress Leaders in Delhi should also follow the same.

While in order to take a final Call, DPCC Chief Sheila Dixit has called a meeting of all three working President in her Residence.

PC Chacko remarks about forging an alliance came days after Delhi unit of Congress last week decided to seek the inputs of its booth-level workers whether to go for an alliance with Arvind Kejriwal-led party in the national Capital to take on Bhartiya Janta Party.

While after facing rejection from Congress, AAP on Sunday announced its seven candidates Balbir Singh Jakhar as an addition to its list of 6 Candidates. AAP’s announcement about the seventh Candidate came a day after Congress Delhi In-Charge PC Chacko showed his willingness to go with the AAP in a pre-poll alliance. He claimed that the only way to defeat BJP in Delhi is to go together in the upcoming General Elections.

However, Earlier the Congress has formally declined to forge an alliance with AAP in the National Capital that follows sharp attack from AAP Leaders claiming Congress wants BJP to win in Delhi.

Polling to all seven seats of the national capital will undergo in a single phase on May 12.
