Right after the announcement of his returning to the big screen, Irrfan Khan has started shooting for the sequel of his hit film ‘Hindi Medium‘ now titled ‘Angrezi Medium’. The film starring Irrfan in the male lead went on floors in Udaipur.
Seeing Irrfan Khan back on the sets of the film made Dinesh Vijan, the producer a little bit emotional and he called it a surreal feeling.

Dinesh further added, “Irrfan is undoubtedly one of the best actors in the country. When he gave his first shot everyone around got emotional. For me, it was one of those life-defining moments working with him again after ‘Hindi Medium’. Having him and Homi together was something all three of us have always wanted.”
When asked if Irrfan got emotional too, Dinesh answered, “No, Irrfan was his usual self. Wry humor, crackling one-liners, and back on his own turf. Deepak and his improvisations brought the house down. It was like the first day of ‘Hindi Medium’.”
Irrfan Khan is playing the role of a sweets shop owner Champak from Udaipur and Deepak will be seen as his brother and business rival. The two have inherited a 100 years old shop. Their distant cousin Manu Rishi owns the biggest mithai shop making him another family rival.
Dinesh informs, “The first scene we shot was with both Irrfan and Deepak. They were trying to woo a foreign tourist in their toota phtoota English. It was a riot.”
The filmmaker confirmed that Radhika Madan is a part of the film and hinted towards Kareena being in the cast, saying, “Radhika Madan is playing Irrfan’s daughter but yes there is another amazing leading lady. Talks are on.”
After completing one month schedule in Jaipur, the team will move to London for the rest of the shooting.
