According to latest reports, 53-old-actress Sridevi will reunite with her co-star Anil Kapoor for a sequel to 1987 blockbuster “Mr. India” after her next “Mom” releases. Sridevi has started working on the same. It is said that she is figuring out the styling and costumes for the movie.
Mr. India is a 1987 Indian Hindi science fiction superhero film which was directed by Shekhar Kapur. It stars Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Amrish Puri in the lead roles. The film was the highest grossing Indian film of 1987. The film was known for several of its lines and songs, including Sridevi’s “Miss Hawa Hawaii” which is very popular till today, and Amrish Puri’s quote “Mogambo khush hua” which is one of the most famous quotes of Bollywood.
The duo is ready to create magic of Mr. India once again. The director of film has not decided yet. The speculations are going round that director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Ravi Udyawar may direct this film. However nothing has been finalised yet. According to the reports, “The main idea is to take story forward but not just for the heck of it. We wanted a solid plot, and we have got it”.
Currently, Sridevi is busy with her upcoming movie “Mom” which is schedule to release it on July 7. On the other hand Anil Kapoor is busy with his next “Mubarakan“ which is scheduled to be released on 28 July, 2017.
