Parliamentarians from Congress party on Wednesday gave adjournment notice in the lower house of the parliament, Lok Sabha, on different issues. Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury submitted the notice over ‘privatization of airports’ by the Union Government.

It should be noted that the main opposition party, Indian National Congress, had last week alleged that the Government of India is planning to privatize the airports in a move to benefit some private corporate. The party further alleged that the Union Government is setting aside the recommendations of NITI Aayog and Finance Ministry in this regard.

Congress Member of Parliament Manish Tewari has given Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha over ‘Harassment by Income Tax officials led to VG Siddhartha‘s death, founder and owner of the Cafe Coffee Day. 

The body of CCD Founder VG Siddhartha was found early morning on Wednesday morning on the banks on netravati river in Mangaluru. He went missing since yesterday. In the meantime, a letter written by him surfaced on Tuesday in which he alleged harassment by the previous Directorate General of Income Tax.

While Congress MP K Suresh also gave an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha. Congress Parliamentarian submitted notice raising the issue of ‘Unnao rape survivor’s accident’.

The Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer sustained critical injuries after her car was hit a by truck when they were on their way to Rae Bareli. Two of her aunts in the accident. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar over the issue.

The Adjournment motion notice of the Lok Sabha is an extraordinary procedure that set aside the normal business of the house in a bid to discuss a definite matter of public importance.
