Along with the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2, the company has also launched a new add-on accessory, the Google Pixel Buds, which are direct take on the Apple AirPods. And here is why we said this.

The Google Pixel Buds offers a similar feature to that of the AirPods. Pixel Buds can easily connect with Android smartphones, which are powered by Android Nougat 7.0 or higher version with Google Assistance.  The add-on is priced at $159 (INR 11,000) and comes in Just Black, Clear White, and Kinda Blue colour shades. The device will be available on US from 4th October, however, there is no news regarding the pricing and availability of the wireless headphones in India.

The headphones come in a zipper pocket with built-in battery, which can charge the headphones up to 24 hours without looking for a charger. However, one cannot loose either one of the headphones, as, they have  been connected using a tangle free cord, which keep them together. These are also the first ad-ons that are powered by the Android Assistance, which can be used to give voice commands, and doing smart touches without being turning on the screen.

Here is the official produce statement from Google officials:

“Say you’re in Little Italy, and you want to order your pasta like a pro. All you have to do is hold down on the right earbud and say, ‘Help me speak Italian.’ As you talk, your Pixel phone’s speaker will play the translation in Italian out loud. When the waiter responds in Italian, you’ll hear the translation through your Pixel Buds.”
