Powered by its own payment platform, the e-commerce giant recently introduced a bill payment service. The partners in association to make this bill payment service a reality are still yet to be disclosed. This news was announced this Tuesday. This app will make it easy for the consumers to pay their electricity landline, broadband, gas, and phone bills recharge along with 100 other types of billers. The billers include BSES, Tata Power, BESCOM, BSNL, Vodafone, Airtel, Reliance Jio, Act Fibernet, Hathway, MGL, IGL. Now customers will be able to pay a plethora of bills with this very easily accessible app with a touch of a button. It will swish, tap, flick and pay.

Amazon has partnered with selected billers, telecom and DTH operators which have a base market share in the economy. All the customers who will use the e-commerce sites will get exclusive promotional offers to customers across recharges and bill payments. On top of these great discounts, the customers can also get exciting cash back offers using the Amazon Coupons via the new Payments app. The users may avail the offers by using Amazon pay and can avail up to 10 percent cash back up to Rs. 75 on electricity bills and another 10 percent up to Rs. 50 on the landline, broadband, and postpaid bills.

Also, more on the offers Amazon India separately offers that mobile recharges will be entitled to get INR 50 discount on a minimum recharge of INR 198 and an INR 75 discount on a minimum phone recharge of INR 398 on a consumer’s first recharge and a discount of INR 30 on a repeat recharge.

Based on the launch of the Amazon Payments app, Shariq Plasticwala, their director of payments mentioned, ‘The launch of Amazon’s bill payments application is a way for Amazon to understand their customers better and to help them serve better. It reinforces Amazon’s commitment to Indian customers to provide them with new categories of merchandise and a wide array of selections. Amazon now has tie-ups with all major categories across mobile recharges and bill payments available for their end users.’
