Apple’s CEO Tim Cook addressed on Tuesday about the succession of the position of CEO. He said that “passing the baton” is one of his important role. There are many experienced managers who have been working in Apple for a very long time.

Apple’s leadership team includes in total of 11 executives. At the meeting in California, Tim spoke about the succession plan for the posts, but did not mention any body in particular of who could be the next successor. Tim has been the CEO since 2011 succeeding Steve Jobs. He bought in a lot of profit to the company especially in Apple Watch, Home Pod and iPhone X.

There are many potential executives that can take over the position. Williams, COO of the company could likely be the successor if Tim Cook is planning on stepping down in near future. Williams manages the company’s global supply chain which comes from the Macs, iPhones and iPad.

“I see my role as CEO to prepare as many people as I can to be CEO and that’s what I’m doing and then the board makes a decision at that point in time,” Cook said. Ahrendts, who came into the company in 2014, is the vice president of the company and could be another prospect for the position of CEO. She was the former CEO of Burberry Group Plc , a famous fashion brand. If she becomes the CEO, this could bring in a new face to the technology world as a female dominating leader and could become the most powerful woman in the business.

Craig Federighi, the software executive could be another possibility to become the next CEO of the company. He takes care of the software running in iPad, Macs and iPhones and has worked on Siri as well.
