AIIMS declared its results on Thursday for its MBBS online entrance test after being elevated from allegations of question paper leaks. With a total of 2,84,737 candidates appearing, 4905 have qualified and are now eligible for counselling session at AIIMS.
“For the first time in its history, AIIMS New Delhi will be admitting 100 students for this session,” Dr Ashok Kumar Jaryal, head of exams, AIIMS said.
The examination was held on May 28 and Anand Rai had alleged that the paper were leaked. Later, these allegations were found vague by a government panel. The AIIMS committee that discussed the issue nullified the allegations but did find some candidates from UP indulged in cheating with some officers. It also recommended a CBI probe into the matter Anand Rai is the same person who exposed the Vyapam Scam.
The results declared Nishita Purohit, a Surat girl, the topper. She did her coaching from Allen Kota. With her score 95% in X and 91.04% in XII, Nishita has always been a keen student and has been a national level basketball player.
Nishita said, “My favourite subject is physics and I want to become a cardiac surgeon. My hard work and proper guidance from the teachers of my coaching institute helped me a lot. Earlier my wish was to become an IAS officer.”

- Enter the candidates ID, password and security code.
- Click on ‘Login’ and download your AIIMS MBBS entrance exam result.
