Gujarat University’s first merit list 2017 for BCom and BSc admission is out at the official website– gujaratuniversity.ac.in. The declaration of the mock result is on June 24. The changes desired by the candidates can be placed from June 25 to June 28. The University will release as the first allotment list on July 1.

As the sources say, a total of 40,504 students registered for the the admission to the BCom courses, and as many as 39,098 will find a figure in the merit list.

There are 24 Science colleges in the Gujarat University– 3 government-run, 6 grant-in-aid and rest self-financed. All are in and around Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. With a total of 7,800 seats available in these colleges, 70% are reserved for the candidates who have passed their qualifying exam from the schools of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar districts.

The Gujarat University, this year, decided to scrap off the “carry-forward system” under which the students got promoted to the next semester, even if they did not qualify in any of the subjects in the previous semester. The decision took place at a meeting of the executive and academic council of the university here on Saturday.
