2020 has been quite unpredictable for not only us but also for the Hindi film industry and the stars. However, even here Akshay Kumar is an exception. The actor has been constantly on a roll with his list of upcoming projects. It was just yesterday that Kumar’s film Laxmii has hit the screens, releasing exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is receiving mixed reviews from the audience after being controversial since the release of its trailer. But Akki is in a constant work mode.
The actor recently wrapped up the shooting of Ranjit M Tiwari’s spy-thriller Bell Bottom in Scotland. He is currently working on Yash Raj Films’ period drama Prithviraj. Following this, Akshay will get on to his next project ‘Atrangi Re,’ which also stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan. He has planned to kick off 2021 with Sajid Nadiadwala’s Bachchan Pandey followed by Ekta Kapoor produced action-comedy.
And now the recent report states that the actor has signed yet another project. According to the Mumbai Mirror report, Akshay signed Mudassar Aziz’s next. An insider told the publication that the movie is a whacky comedy. The actor agreed to feature in the project as soon as he heard the subject. He is reportedly attempting to strike a “balance between real-life subjects, action thrillers, love stories with a difference, and laughter riots.”
For those unaware, Mudassar has earlier directed romcoms like the Pati Patni Aur Woh remake and Happy Bhaag Jayegi. This will be his first collaboration with Akshay Kumar. The shooting is scheduled to go on the floors around July next year. Meanwhile, Laxmii is streaming on OTT, on the line, Akshay has also got a cop drama, Sooryavanshi, which was earlier scheduled to release in March this year, will hit the big screens in early next year.
