The National award-winning 44-year-old actor Arjun Rampal is playing the main lead in Ashim Ahluwalia’s ‘Daddy’, based on the life of former gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, who is called as the king of Dagdi Chawl, a settlement in Mumbai. Daddy is the nickname Gawli’s admirers had given to him.
The movie which was earlier slated to release it on 21 July. Now will be releasing it on 8 September. Bollywood Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the new release date of Arjun Rampal’s starrer “Daddy” on his Twitter account. He caption,”#Daddy, which was scheduled for release on 21 July, will now release on 8 Sept 2017… Stars Arjun Rampal… Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia.”

Arjun’s look which has already been revealed before the trailer came out is uncannily similar to that of Arun’s. Aishwarya will be playing his wife in the film. The movie is helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia and produced by Arjun Rampal and Rutvij Patel.
