Bhumi Pednekar: It’s sad how people have just assumed that I’ve struggled a lot!

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar says that it is very sad that how people have just assumed that she has struggled a lot. Bhumi has appeared in total three films so far, but she is already one of the most sought-after female actors in Bollywood.

Currently, she is celebrating the success of her back-to-back release movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, but she feels that being a part of a content driven movies adds a lot of baggage to an actor’s career.

Bhumi feels that the sad notion in the Bollywood is whenever you do content driven cinema, people started assuming that you are very simple and a serious kind of a girl. She says that it is very strange that how can people assume so much about your life on the basis of the work you do. Moreover, she says that a lot of people think that she came from a family where she made to struggle a lot.

As an actor, Bhumi Pednekar is very serious about her work. Earlier in her 2015 debut movie ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, she put on 27 kgs just to portray the role of Sandhya Verma in the movie. Bhumi comes from a family where everyone has a freedom to achieve their dreams. They are allowed to shine and get exposures to the world since she has traveled a lot. She says that she has seen many places at a very young age. She is an independent girl and a strongly opinionated person and belongs from this modern age.

Bhumi says many still don’t know her real side. She calls herself as a hardcore typical Mumbai girl. She believes in the power of vanity and she almost takes two hours to get ready. She loves makeup and she loves to shop from her favorite brands. Maybe that is the reason many of them surprised to see her because they have set a notion that she is like her on-screen character.

Bhumi love traveling and she has a gang of girls with whom she travels a lot. On this Bhumi says, “I make sure I travel with my girlfriends at least twice a year because that’s the time I rejuvenate and disconnect from myself. I travel with my family very often.”
