Popular music director and singer Himesh Reshammiya has ended his 22-year long marriage to wife Komal. The couple, who announced their decision to end their marriage last year, was granted divorce by Bombay Court on the evening of June 6. Himesh and Komal tied the knot in 1995. According to earlier reports, Himesh and Komal are to co-parent their son Swayam.
The 43-year-old music composer said that the separation was mutual. Himesh said, “Sometimes in life mutual respect becomes most important and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I, have amicably decided to part ways legally as husband and wife. There is no problem whatsoever with this decision amongst us and our family as every member of the family have respected our decision. Komal is and will always remain a part of my family and I will always be a part of her family.”
On the other hand Komal said, “Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going ahead with this decision to part ways, but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same stands for him towards my family.”
