Jay Soni is an Indian television actor and presenter. He made his acting debut with a small role in the 2003 movie “Dil Maange More”. He rose the popularity from the famous Star Plus show “Sasural Genda Phool”, where he played the lead role of Ishaan Kashyap opposite Ragini Khanna. The show was very popular and won lots of awards. It was the remake of the star jalsha popular show Ogo Bodhu Sundori. Later, he even appeared in many shows like Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Dharohar Apno Ki, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011(As a host). He even appeared in Reality Show ‘Nach Baliye 7 along with his wife Pooja Shah Soni in 2015. Currently, he is playing the character of ‘Bakool’ in a show titled “Bhaag Bakool Bhaag”. The serial revolves around the character Bakool, where he is playing the role of two characters one is Rural and the other one is Urban along with his wives Jigna and Sheena.
Jay is doing a fine job of playing a husband of two wives in the television series. While in real life he is struggling to find time for his wife Pooja Shah. On this, he said, “Shoots eat into the time I spend with Pooja. She often jokes that the other two wives will be with me only until the show lasts, while she’ll be there for life; so, I need to shower her with attention.”
Recently, Jay found himself in an uncomfortable situation when two girls stalked him. This incident took place when Jay visited a night club along with his wife Pooja. He quoted, “We were fine when they requested a dance with me, but it became a little awkward when they started following me wherever I went. I spotted them waiting for me outside the washroom, too. The fact that I am married didn’t seem to deter them. Pooja kept smiling, but dragged me away after the girls went overboard.”
