An Indian film director and production designer Omung Kumar says that he has no plan to direct the movie ‘Bhoomi‘ .Omung says that he is very much excited about his upcoming Indian action film titled ‘Bhoomi. The movie which is directed and co-produced by Omung himself. The movie features Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhant Gupta. The movie is said to be an emotional and sensitive revenge drama and it shows the relationship between a father and his daughter.
‘Bhoomi’ is also the most awaited come back film of the Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. Earlier Omung was only producing the movie but later, Sanjay Dutt suggested him that he should direct the film so he agreed. In the movie, Sanjay would be portraying the role of an angry father.
When Omung and Sandeep Singh (writer and one of the producers of the film) went to Sanjay to narrate the script of the movie and even then Sanjay showed interest in the movie. He liked the script and Sanjay wanted ‘Bhoomi’ to be his comeback movie and Omung says that they all were so happy when Sanjay agreed to do a film.
Then, he asked Omung to direct the movie and Omung agreed because it was an honour for him to direct Sanjay Dutt. So he said ‘Yes’. However, Omung has initially worked with the biggest stars like Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the movies like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarabjit’. He has always used the star power in his movies and that has always helped him to reach out to the larger audience.
In his upcoming movie, Sanjay Dutt would be playing his age and the role which he is playing is very performance oriented. The movie “Bhoomi”, which shows the relationship between a father and his daughter and it is said to be an emotional movie. Bhoomi reflects a father and daughter’s strong bond and how two of them fight against the injustice, to ensure that good win over evil. However, we have seen both the caring as well as the aggressive sides of Sanjay Dutt as a father who is demanding justice for his daughter Aditi Rao Hydari.
‘Bhoomi’ is all set to releases worldwide on September 22nd, 2017.
