Sridevi‘s upcoming movie ‘Mom’. It is an upcoming Indian thriller film which is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain. The film stars Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearance. Music for the film is being scored by A. R. Rahman.
According to the reports, ‘Mom’ has passed the censor test with a U/A certificate, with no cuts. The CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani is totally in awe of the actress and also called her the modern day ‘mother India.’
CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani said, “Srideviji’s performance in Mom has the same impact as Nargisji in Mother India. They both define motherhood and the ingrained sacrifices that a mother makes for a child. I’d go as far as to say Mom is the contemporary Mother India.” He added,”There will not be one dry eye in the theatres when the film opens. In fact CBFC’s female board members got too emotional and got in tears after watching the film. It is probably Sridevi’s career’s best performance.”
Apart from Hindi, “MOM” will be dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The film is scheduled for release on 7 July 2017, in four languages.
