Boyd Gaming is going to sell its Eldorado Casino in Henderson, Southern Nevada to DeSimone Gaming.

The deal was entered after Boyd’s casino could not be opened up after lockdown in March. Boyd has also been facing 20% drop in revenue year-on-year.

In Quarter 3 alone the company saw $652.2m in revenue which was the result of COVID-19 crisis.

According to report by Gambling Insider, the company’s revenue for the first nine months of 2020 was $1.5bn, a drop of 40% from 2019 levels.

After this turbulent phase, Boyd Gaming decided to sell its Eldorado Casino for an undisclosed price.

As per Gambling Insider, David Strow, Boyd spokesman, said: “The Eldorado was a non-core asset to our company, and as we have continued to grow over the years, this property represented a very modest part of our overall business.”
